    The app uses your device’s camera to display and interact with 3D Augmented Reality (AR) content. We do not record, store, or transmit any camera footage. Camera access is used only for AR functionality.

  4. 4. Use of Beacons:
    Our app uses Bluetooth beacons to send notifications and provide nearby content during your tour. No data is collected or stored from these interactions.

  5. 5. Augmented Reality & Multimedia:
    The app includes 3D augmented reality, text, images, videos, and voiceovers (available in English and Greek) to enhance your experience.

  6. 6. Free & Personal Use:
    The app is free of charge and is intended solely for personal, non-commercial use.

  7. 7. No Tracking or Analytics:
    We do not use tracking technologies (like cookies) and we do not analyze or monitor your usage.

  8. 8. Data Security:
    Since we do not collect or store personal data, there is minimal privacy risk. All content is used locally on your device.

The present Digital Decumanus App belongs to the Ephorate of Antiquities of Thessaloniki City, under the Ministry of Culture. Its use is subject to the following terms:

All content of the Digital Decumanus App, except for the explicitly mentioned exceptions (third-party copyrights), which may include but are not limited to texts, photographs, designs, digitized material and all deliverables acquired or developed by contractor companies under the co-financed project "THESSALONIKI: FROM THE GOLDEN GATE TO THE KASSANDRΙΑΝE GATE. TRANSFORMATIONS - CONVERSIONS OF A MAIN STREET FROM THE CITY’S FOUNDATION UNTIL THE FIRE OF THE 1917," is the exclusive property of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Thessaloniki City and the Ministry of Culture.

These entities have the full right to manage and exploit the content by any lawful means. The content is protected by national law, especially Law 4858/2021, "Sanction of the Code of Legislation for the Protection of Antiquities and Cultural Heritage in General" (Government Gazette 220/A/19.11.2021), as well as by community and international law and the regulatory framework governing the implementation of co-financed projects.

The content of the Digital Decumanus App is available to users for personal use and the purposes of information, education, and research. The storage or reproduction of data is permitted, provided that the source and copyrights are acknowledged ("© Ephorate of Antiquities of Thessaloniki City - Ministry of Culture"), and that they are used exclusively for personal, research, educational, informational, and strictly non-commercial purposes, by the provisions of Article 46 of Law 4858/2021. Any other use requires explicit permission from the Ministry of Culture. The competent authority for issuing decisions regarding the reproduction and public dissemination of monument depictions is the Ephorate of Antiquities of Thessaloniki City.

The information and material contained on this App are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranty of any kind. Digital Decumanus App assumes no liability, direct or indirect, for any (actual or consequential) damage that may be incurred by the user from using the App or the information contained therein. To obtain fully guaranteed information, users must contact the Ephorate of Antiquities of Thessaloniki City.
